If you need to contact a doctor outside these hours you must still ring the surgery number. The surgery answer phone will provide you with the contact telephone number for the Out of Hours
The surgery keeps abreast of developments and is constantly looking for ways in which we can improve the service that we deliver to our patients. For this reason, the surgery closes once a month for staff training. The training session is held in the afternoon from 1pm on the 4th Thursday in every month. If you need to contact a Doctor during these hours please ring NHS111 - just dial 111 from either a landland or mobile and these calls are free.

Online Appointments
All G.P appointments offered will be of 10 minutes duration.
Practice Nurse appointment lengths depend on the reason for the appointment. It is important to inform the receptionist of the reason for a Nurse appointment, to allow the receptionist to book the correct length of time for the appointment and for any necessary equipment to be prepared.
The surgery operates an advanced access appointments system. This means that we allow pre-booking appointments by up to 6 weeks and a certain amount of appointments are saved for patients that ring “ on the day “. We aim to be able to offer an appointment within 24 hours. However if you wish to specify a particular Doctor, you may need to wait longer.
Please note the surgery offers same day appointments for all under 5 year olds if it is clinically indicated.
Chaperones
Chaperones are available on request for all intimate examinations.
Telephone advice
Telephone advice is becoming increasingly popular with patients. The Doctor’s may be contacted by telephone before or after surgery times. If the Doctor is busy, please leave your name and number and they will return your call at the first opportunity. Practice Nurses can also be contacted at the surgery in the same way.
Video Consultation
More recently, the Practice has started to increase it's use of video consultations. This means rather than patients having to attend the Practice for an appointment for e.g a skin problem, they can request a video consultation appointment. The GP would review the patient over the video link if appropriate.
